Workout for Women’s Day 2026: Move Together. Support Women. Create Change.
YWCA BC is proud to be a charity partner for this year’s Workout for Women’s Day—a powerful, community-driven celebration of movement, connection and collective impact in honour of International Women’s Day.
From March 4–8, join one of 40+ public classes hosted by some of the best local studios and instructors across Vancouver, including the YWCA Health & Fitness Centre. Every class is by donation, with 100% of proceeds supporting charities that uplift women, girls and marginalized genders.
What Is Workout for Women’s Day?
Workout for Women’s Day is a grassroots, volunteer-driven initiative that brings together local movement studios and instructors to offer public and corporate fitness classes in support of women-focused charities.
Since launching in 2019, this inspiring campaign has raised over $240,000 in just seven years, proving the incredible power of community, collaboration, and movement for good.
In 2026, the event will feature:
- Over 40 public classes
- A silent auction
- Three local charity partners making real impact in our community
The event is led by Stronger Together Vancouver, a collective of local fitness instructors, Shana Alexander, Andi Semenik and Danya Rogen, who believe deeply in the power of movement to build connection and support meaningful causes.

Celebrate this movement with energizing and grounding group fitness classes at the YWCA Health & Fitness Centre. Each class is designed to inspire strength, confidence and community.

HIIT & Flow with Jill
A powerful combination of 30 minutes of high-intensity interval training followed by 30 minutes of yoga flow.
Thursday, March 5 | 5:15–6:15 PM
Cycle & Tone with Alex
Build cardio endurance with 45 minutes on the bike, then finish strong with resistance-band toning.
Friday, March 6 | 6:30–7:30 PM
Hatha & Singing Bowls with Yankei
Unwind in a candlelit gentle Hatha yoga class, enhanced by the calming vibrations of singing bowls.
Saturday, March 7 | 12:30–1:30 PM
Boxing Fitness with Leila
Unleash your inner fighter in this high-energy, empowering boxing fitness workout.

Zumba with Jennica
A joyful cardio dance party blending Latin rhythms, pop music, and Zumba choreography.

When you choose to donate to YWCA BC through Workout for Women’s Day, you’re directly supporting the YWCA Crabtree Corner Housing Community—where 12 units of supportive transitional housing are provided for pregnant and parenting women, based on a harm reduction model. Residents have access to wraparound supports, including parenting programs, peer support groups for women who have experienced violence, free child care, a community kitchen, Indigenous programming and a wellness worker, all designed to help families thrive.
