Legal Services
Legal services for YWCA housing residents and program participants

The YWCA's staff lawyers provide free legal services to those with a connection to YWCA BC – either through our housing or community programs. Priority access to the program is given to residents of our second-stage transition housing, as well as YWCA Crabtree Corner residents or those participating in community programming through Crabtree Corner.

We assist in resolving family law and child policing/protection matters. We offer a range of services – information and referrals, summary advice and unbundled legal representation.

These services support residents/participants who have experienced violence from an intimate partner and are facing ongoing safety concerns; or those whose children have been or are about to be apprehended by the Ministry of Children and Family Development or VACFSS.
