How You Can Help

Donor-Advised Funds

You can make a meaningful difference for women and families by recommending a grant to YWCA BC through your donor-advised fund today.

How to Give

It is as simple as 1-2-3 to give to YWCA BC through your Donor-Advised Fund (DAF).

Advisor-managed DAF

1 Contact your financial advisor at your DAF sponsoring organization

We accept DAF donations from all DAF Sponsors, such as Vancouver Foundation, TD Private Giving Foundation, Nicola Wealth Private Giving Foundation and Aqueduct Foundation.

2 Recommend a grant to YWCA BC

Decide the amount of your gift and ask your DAF advisor to process a grant specifically to “YWCA British Columbia” or “YWCA BC” using our legal name or charitable registration number.

3 Direct your grant

(a) You may designate your support to a specific program at the YWCA or;

(b) You may instruct that your gift be unrestricted. Unrestricted gifts allow YWCA BC to respond quickly to the most urgent needs of women and children, ensuring your support has the greatest possible impact.

Self-directed (digital) DAF

1 Log in to your online self-directed DAF account

Access your DAF through your provider's online portal, such as Charitable Impact (CHIMP), Benefaction, GiftFunds Canada, or Canada Gives.

2 Recommend a grant to YWCA BC

In your self-directed online DAF account, search for “YWCA British Columbia” using our legal name or charitable registration number.

Decide the amount of your gift and follow the instructions to complete a grant to YWCA BC.
