YWCA Employment Navigator services help mothers parenting alone access resources and education at the pre-employment and employment stages, empowering them with the tools and skills necessary to overcome barriers and achieve financial independence for their families.
- One-to-one, personalized support to
- Help identifying strengths, skills and goals
- Build a roadmap and action plan toward employment or education
- A flexible schedule, including evening and weekend appointments available upon request
- Referrals to community programs, training, and services
- Access to information about bursaries, scholarships, grants, and government funding
- Assistance with forms such as housing applications, Income Assistance, and the Affordable Child Care Benefit

If you want to move toward employment or education but feel uncertain or not yet ready, the program offers a safe, supportive environment to grow at your own pace. We provide:
- Strength-based, one‑to‑one coaching and encouragement
- Referrals to community resources including counselling, legal supports, food programs, and emotional supports

Connection to other YWCA services, including Single Mothers Support Groups
- A welcoming monthly group (Sister Circle Café) focused on topics like self‑esteem, self‑care and creating healthy boundaries
