Short Term & Transitional Housing
The YWCA provides safe, short-term and transitional housing for women and families in need, including second-stage transition houses for women leaving abuse and housing for single women in recovery and their children.

YWCA second-stage transition housing provides safe, affordable temporary accommodation and supports to women and children who have experienced violence.
Details:

Length of stay: One year, with the possibility of extension up to a maximum of 18 months.

Independent furnished units. Rent geared to income or the shelter portion if on income assistance.

Support staff are onsite Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm.
All YWCA second-stage transition house addresses are confidential.
YWCA Munroe House is located in Vancouver and is close to transit, shopping and schools.

Outreach program for Japanese-speaking women who are experiencing abuse from an intimate partner or a homestay situation

The YWCA offers a supportive housing community for pregnant and parenting women at Crabtree Corner Housing. The housing is transitional and the maximum length of stay is from pregnancy to nine months postpartum. Mothers who are working on regaining custody are able to stay for up to 12 months.
YWCA Crabtree Corner Housing is not emergency housing and cannot accommodate women on short notice. Please expect to wait several months for a space to become available.
