Stopping the Violence Outreach Group

The Stopping the Violence program supports self-identifying women in the Grandview-Woodland area who have experienced intimate partner violence.

What we do

The YWCA Stopping the Violence Outreach Group provides a supportive space for self-identifying women who have experienced violence.

Connect with others, explore healthy coping strategies and take part in activities that support well-being. Sessions may include a presentation or workshop, followed by an arts-based activity.

Groups and Workshops

These free, in-person workshops offer opportunities for connection, learning and healing.

  • Workshops use a trauma-informed approach

  • Held in East Vancouver 2-3 times a month

  • Each session is standalone, so you can attend individual sessions without joining a series

  • Focus on well-being

  • Transit tickets and childminding available upon request

  • Light refreshments provided

  • Registration required for each session
