Volunteer Description

YWCA Cindy Beedie Place, located near BCIT in Burnaby, is home to 56 single-mother led families. YWCA housing communities provide safe and affordable homes for single women and their dependent children. Residents have access to other YWCA programs and services, and a foundation to move towards health, well-being and economic stability.

Our Community Development Coordinator is looking for volunteers to help with meetings and events. Tasks would include:

  • Childminding and support for mothers so that they may attend meetings and workshops;
  • Facilitating activities for mothers and children like a community dinner
  • Helping the Community Development Coordinator with special events and gatherings.
