We’re seeking friendly and enthusiastic volunteers to support our trainers, staff, and fellow volunteers in keeping the Health & Fitness Club running smoothly. As a Fitness Floor Volunteer, you'll play a key role in maintaining a welcoming environment and shaping the member experience, helping create an inclusive space where our members feel supported in their health and wellness journeys.
The YWCA Health & Fitness Club is one of YWCA BC’s social enterprises. Located on Hornby Street in downtown Vancouver, the 30,000-square-foot adult facility features a gym, pool and fitness studios, and plays an important role in generating revenue that directly supports the YWCA BC’s programs and services across the community.
What you’ll be doing:
Assist instructors with class set-up
Clean, organize, and maintain equipment areas
Help create a safe, welcoming environment for all members
What you’ll need:
Friendly and approachable with a positive attitude
Dependable and reliable
Current CPR-A/AED certification
Ability to lift and/or move up to 30 lbs
Ability to bend, squat, and reach as needed
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Successful completion of a Criminal Record Check (required prior to starting)
