What you’ll be doing:
- Leading safe, engaging and inclusive group fitness classes in your area of expertise (AquaFit, Cycle, Yoga, Pilates, Meditation, HIIT, Zumba, Tai Chi, or Qi Gong)
- Creating a welcoming environment for all members
- Following safety guidelines and best practices
- Contributing to a positive and supportive fitness community

- BCRPA (or equivalent) certification as a Registered Fitness Leader
- Current CPR-A/AED certification (valid within 3 years)
- Previous experience leading group fitness classes (preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A passion for community wellness and inclusive fitness
- Successful completion of a Criminal Record Check (required prior to starting)
What we offer:
- Complimentary Health & Fitness Club membership with towel service
- Annual CPR & First Aid recertification training
- Access to the KickStart Conference and additional training events (eligible for BCRPA renewal credits)
- Opportunities to grow your leadership skills and expand your fitness network
*Please note: Volunteers may register for classes 24 hours in advance. If a class is full, we ask that you choose a different fitness activity and release the spot for a paying member. Volunteers are not eligible to participate in Member Challenges and events; however, as part of the staff, PT, and instructor team, you'll be included in special team-only events and contests.
